From “Trust the Whisper: How Answering Quiet Callings Inspires Extraordinary Stories of Ordinary Grace“ by Kathy Izard
From Denver Moore to Livvi and all the God Dots in between, each story I’ve shared in this book is evidence to me of a greater weave in the world. As I’ve tried to understand how all the connections might be possible, I read about a concept known as “Indra’s net.” This is a metaphor used in Buddhism, Hinduism, and yoga philosophy, all of which have similar variations of the same idea: imagining our world as if there is a massive net arching overhead. Where each cord meets another, there is a multifaceted jewel, so as each jewel shines it reflects the light of others. According to the ancient metaphor, we are each like one of those jewels, not only connected by every cord in the net but also shining upon each other.
