Today, more than forty million women in the U.S. are considered to be in “midlife.” Those ages forty and over make up more than half of the female population in America, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Almost twenty-two million are between the ages of forty and fifty, with another twenty million joining their ranks in the next decade. We represent an unprecedented population bulge, mostly known as the baby boomers.

We also represent an unprecedented level of health, education, and wealth in this country.
